Outer circle:
round fruits:  life, new beginnings
round buns
barbeque pork:  strength
fish:  prosperity
meat
carbonara (any noodle will do):  long life
fruit salad:  sweetness in life
bananas:  wish for education

another good luck:  bag with rice, grapes, cotton balls

  1. I love all of your description to go along with the pictures of what the foods represent to your culture. :) I made New Year's Cookies, which are a strong German tradition from my family and hometown/area. It is a yeast dough with soaked raisins in it that we deep fry and then coat with sugar. Yummy!
