Breakfast with the Catechists

The Catechists from St. Mary Magdalene Church were the first to welcome me, outside family, when I returned in July.  Since then I've joined the groups at various meals in their homes.

To prepare for this "party" I borrowed plates, cups, silverware, glasses from Sylvia and Ate Nene.

We enjoyed scrambled eggs,  tocino, toasted siopao, pandesal, puto, pancit, coffee, milo, pineapple juice.

Sampaguita

has flowered!  Praise the Lord!  All that watering has borne fruit.

Aglipay Church

One more Flores de Mayo procession.  This one starred the older generation.

The youth still participated.
This group pulled the caro with the Cross Triumphant.

Library guests

Who said library hour is only for young children?

Ryan and friends, church servers visited us yesterday.

Backyard Picnic

After prayers for Tito Sonny's "40 days" we had pancit and then we went to the cemetery.  When we returned, we had lunch in the Yamane's backyard.  Why plates when you can eat off a banana leaf? Why silverware when you can use your hands?

Skylar is always ready for action!

Yamane Family Day Out

I went with Joseph, Sylvia, Stacey, Jermaine, Josh, and Skylar to Antipolo for school supplies shopping.

We left Pililla about 10 and returned at 3.  We rode tricycles and jeeps.  What an adventure!

nothing like ice cream on a HOT summer day!

This is the ultimate enjoyment!

How much chocolate milk

will this bottle make?

Recycled magazine

I visited one of the buildings at the Department of Energy and Natural Resources in Antipolo recently.

On one of the tables in the reception area is this decoration.  I was told it's made out of recycled magazines, creatively folded.

Rancho

I finally got to go inside the Rancho.  This property was owned by the family.  My uncle especially loved this place.  He and his wife Tita Lucy spent many hours each day at the Rancho.

We lost the property as it became payment for the services of Atty Trinidad.  Atty Trinidad shared with me this afternoon that my grandmother had asked that Atty Trinidad never sell the property since it was precious to my uncle.

Mahogany trees line the pathway, shading the walker.
What a blessing on a hot summer day!

Rest under trees!
